another poster another day

I made this poster using a combination of hand cut panda heads from various magazines and a hand drawn rainbow in felt pen all brought together with the magic of computer science. You should come to this show! --Do it!

Return to Tonasket!!

This is a picture from a renegade marching band we formed at the Barter Fair I'm guessing 4 years ago. We we're bent on making a ruckus and bringing it to everyones camp on foot! We did play an official Panda Con show that night on some dude from Idaho's flat bed truck. The barter fair is so funky and such a good time! Sadly we haven't been able to make it back for a few years. Good news: this summer they are holding the first annual Conscious Culture Fest (not to be confused with the Coitus Culture fest. . .) and we have been invited to perform! I'm thinking its going to be a bit more organized then the barter fair and it sounds like they have a completly legitimate stage and sound system! Check out the awesome lineup including Buffy Sainte-Marie!

New website on the way. . .

It's true, it has been a while. Our old website looks kind-of. . well. . blah. I recently talked to Brian Thompson from Thorny Bleeder records in Vancoover, BC who was kind enough to give us a critique. The first thing he noticed was our image online did not seem to fit with the style of music we play and the atmosphere at our concerts. I was surprised, but then again we hadn't given too much thought to this in the past. . I was always like "Yeah, we have a web site and stuff. . so?" Well, as we go further and further into the realm of digital life "web presence" seems to be increasingly important. So here is to 2010 and some change with the panda band from Seattle's online style!

Key words I'm using for inspiration through this process: fun, bright colors, cut and paste, lasers, slightly crazy, dance party, good times! . . . I'm sure some other keywords will pop up too.
